To put some life back into this website, I announce: The 1st 10-Line Fic contest! Winner gets to decide 10 of the next lines (in stone) and gets an e-trophy and a plug on the site!!!! (oh god I actually accidentally spelled site with a 'h' in the wrong place... in fact, I just did it again...)

So what's involved?

Rules:
1. From the following pool of lines, write a Super Smash Brothers fanfic about anything, including at least ten of the following lines.
2. Word length should be around 1000-2000 words. Footnotes/notes not included... tiny discrepancies are allowed. Punctuation is nice.
3. Keep the lines EXACTLY as they are, except if there's a - at the end, continue the word that has been started.

4. Closing Date: 15th September -- Get it in on this day... the date is set according to FF.net?!?!?!

This means you have a long time to make one. I guess you can make multiple entries, however, you can only have one for the competition.

5. Post (a link) to your story that you'll officially enter here. You can create another story and edit it into your post, just specify which one you're entering. I'd prefer it if you uploaded your story to FF.net.

5.1 Specify '10 Line Contest' in the title or summary on FF.net, and put a little plug at the end maybe? Or at the start?!?!?!?

6. In your story, put as a signature/footnote:
The ten lines that I used from the Smash Mansion 10-Line Fic Contest are (line), (line) ...etc... (or words to that effect)

Judging:

Everyone will vote on everyone else's entries. That means you'll have to read everyone's and you'll have a nice time to read all of that.

Each entrant will have the right to vote. Right meaning if you don't vote, there's a small deduction.

In hospital? WE DON'T CARE!

The Voting Process

Each person votes for about half of the stories in the pool, ranking them from their favourite to least favourite.

Try to consider the inclusion of lines. Are they put in smartly to aid the development of the story?

Writing Style: This includes development of narrative, narrative voice, diction, tone.

Overall Impression: Did you like it???
