Apparently you can get a glimpse of the team names here.

Granmother and Granddaughter?! I automatically say they're early eliminees.

Because most older racers can't do so well with real old age.

I've only seen a few exceptions (Toni from TAR13, maybe Margie from TAR14).

The race goes to Chile on leg one, and they go to Liverpool United Kingdom later on?

I noticed there were six teams with the first person's name starting with a 'J'. Now is this just coincidential or not?

Oh, and once again, a truck-full of dating teams?!

EDIT:

The teams:

Jeff/Jordan- Newly Dating. Met on Big Brother, so it'll be like Rob/Amber in the sense that it's a semi-famous couple from another show. Seems like the lovey-dovey/bland couple that fight within the first two legs. Pretty blond girls: 1.
Dana/Adrian- High School Sweethearts/Married. Seem caught up on how they knew each other in high school. Nothing else to say.
Jet/Cord- Brothers/Cowboys. Texas round-'em-up types. Seem interesting.
Louie/Micheal- Dectectives. Big, strong, burly types. Seems like they'll be good players, but I half-expect them to be a pair of Lances.
Caite/Brent- Dating. Going to be arguing at some point during the race. Also, she was Miss Teen South Carolina, which is neat. Pretty blond girls: 2.
Monique/Shawn- Mothers/Attorneys. Bowling moms in disugise (actually I haven't seen season five since it was on so I don't know)? All-girl teams: 1.
Daniel/Jordan- Brothers. It's Jordan's number one dream to run the race, apparantly. Five bucks says they're out in the first five legs.
Joe/Heidi- Married. Asian couple. Joe says he's going to be the leader, so I'm expecting a Tammy/Victor style senario? Are all asian teams like this?
Steve/Allie- Father/Daughter. He seems dull, she seems bland. Next.
Jody/Shannon- Grandmother/Granddaughter. She's the oldest contestant, so they'll probably play on that a lot.
Carol/Brandy- Dating. Not that interesting. Gay, so another thing that they'll use a lot. All female teams: 2.

2 pretty blond girls? Step down from last season. They're really trying to change at casting.

I really have nothing else to say.

Nice find...

I can't wait to see Miss Teen South Carolina (who's infamous speech can be found here if you haven't seen it) get puzzleliminated on, like, the third leg.

I don't like them getting all these reality stars (ROB AND AMBER AAAAAAAHHHHHH) and putting them on the race. Three quarters of them are complete airheads.

Apparently the grandmother who's racing with her granddaughter is the oldest Amazing Race contestant ever at seventy-one years old. I agree, though; they'll be going early.

I kind of like this cast so far, though. It seems pretty... diverse?

Not that diverse if you ask me, it just looks like a bunch of Related/Dating or Married teams.

In fact, only two teams aren't Dating/Married/Related teams.

But there's still some hope for this season?!

Jeff and Jordan I don't like. They seem annoying and I don't think that they'll be easy to put up with.
Monique and Shawne I also don't like that much. They aren't aren't that appealing to me.
Jet and Cord, conversely, I do like. They might even be my favorites. They're just amusing, and judging by how quickly they caught up, pretty good at this racing thing.
Steve and Allie were so idiotic it was hilarious. The going into the person's house is probably going to be the most memorable part of the season.
Joe and Heidi are half and half. I like Heidi, but Joe is just taking way too much control. It's kind of like how Victor and Tammy were at first. Except I eventually liked Victor and Tammy.
Carol and Brandy I like. I love their quips about the other teams.
Brent and Caite are gonna get a ton of crap about the Miss Teen South Carolina thing. I honestly feel kinda sorry for them.
Dan and Jordan are Sam and Dan except that one of them isn't gay. There's nothing else to say.
They literally never showed Louie/Micheal so I have no comment.
I like Jody and Shannon as well. They just seem interesting and I'd like to see them go far.
Dana and Adrian were no big loss. The big dog had to be put down, look at me, I'm witty.

This season's teams don't seem as interesting as the last two seasons were. I was honestly suprised that there isn't someone with a disability like Luke or Zev. I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

This is the first actual season I've watched and already hated alot.

TARs 13-15 were great and okay, but this one, 16, is just not that great.

They've run out of groovy people like Zev/Justin and Gary/Matt!

I have a feeling that this is going to a lot like TAR 13 in terms of quality of racing. No one seems particularly intelligent, and for TWO teams to be penalized in the first leg is just bad racing.

Jet and Cord: Insta-underdogs. The southerners/not very well travelled people usually go out first, and I like them

straight away which means trouble because I actually sorta liked Eric and Lisa too.

Wow, and I have no teams from first impression that I can even sense make the top three. We have a very annoying,

weak field from first glance. Cowboys, Cops and the brothers in the top three.

-Okay, I take this back, Jeff and Jordan are the staple annoying hang-around team.
-Oh crap. NO YOU DON'T COWBOYS. NO YOU DON'T. DON'T CHANGE IT TO THE BRAZILLIAN MONEYS. THAT IS AN OMEN YOU ARE

GOING TO GET ELIMINATED. HOW COULD YOU?!
-Damn and I would've really liked to have seen some desperate stay-in racing for the first leg. It's almost a gamble

being separated into a pack of three out of 11. Jigglypuff

-Wow what insightful commentary Dad.
-Why do the models/actors/famous people always seem to get all the luck with cabs, buses, and any other transport of

any kind and clue-finding?! With my pre-race predictions I never really factored in the luck that these stunt casted

couples get.

Revised top three prediction: Jeff/Jordan, Brandon/Catie, Brothers?!
-Oh that really looks like a eliminee/bottom few teams cut for Crandy pre-road-block.
-22 minutes in: Jet and Cord look to be toast. Absolute toast. :,( There's too much focus on them too quick. They

are gone.
-Don't do a Mika, Brandy.
-Not a dumb move, Jeff/Jordan looking at the hard-looking steep hill.
-Cowboysssss :,(
-COWBOYYYYS
-Jeff/Jordan aren't thaaaaat bad.

This is a good start to a season actually. I feel it's got a good vibe to it that the last two, or maybe three were missing. Jigglypuff

The cast are bearable so far so onwards!

Also, the leg was actually reasonably fair and had opportunity to catch up/not catch up in so yay?! Jigglypuff
